Elizabeth's Background.

Elizabeth Margret Willowray was born and raised in Charleston, North Dakota. Beth was pretty, popular, and well liked, with a smile that no one could deny. She was raised with her parent's strong values of peace, community service, and generosity, instilled by their strong Catholic background. Her primary source of trouble was her brother, who would do bizarre things, like ripping all the heads off her dolls or drawing arcane designs all over her bedroom walls. None around her could recognize the signs of an awakening Mage, and the troubled teenager was sent away to California, as far as Beth knew, to be institutionalized. There, his Mage talents were recognized, and he was raised into the Ashiakic Brotherhood.

In 1993, Elizabeth's parents won tickets for a cruise around the world, fulfilling a lifelong dream. They sent the girl to St. Claire to stay with her grandmother while they were traveling. Beth's grandmother placed her in St. Uriel's school. At St. Uriel's Open House, Elizabeth triggered her first change before a large number of people. She was received by the Sept and placed under the care of Aspen, Voice of the Goddess for the Children of Gaia. She received the name White Veils from Windhowl for the white blanket Thorn gave her to dress in after her rage caused her to shift and destroy her own clothes.

Aspen was captured by the forces of Malfeas, and Elizabeth's training was finished by Duskreader before she returned to St. Claire.

Elizabeth grew, passing her Rite of Passage in a journey into the Deep Umbra with Duskreader and Banestriker to find answers that would foil the machinations of the evil mage, Cornelius Snowdon. Bobby Hanson, her childhood friend, came out to St. Claire, sent by the fey Midir of Fourstones, to whom he had sworn his service. Beth and Bobby were reunited, and finally realized how much they missed each other, and needed each other. Friendship blossomed straight into romance, and after a year, at the St. Uriel's prom, Bobby proposed to Elizabeth. Though their impulse was to marry right away, they were just seniors in high school. They waited. A summer of camping and getting to know each other better faded into fall. Then fey problems began to plague St. Claire. Bobby, the only one who had interacted with the Fey much, went to their fort to try and stop the problem, promising to return as soon as he could. He never came back. Unable to return to her parents because of her commitments to Sept, and wanting to be there for Bobby when he returned, Beth was left alone in the city, beginning her Freshman year in quiet isolation.

The Galliard worked as hard as she could through the changes that tore apart the Sept that semester, and proved herself in a good number of fights and challenges. Her compositions, particularly the songs she sang at the passing of heroes, spread, and garnered her acclaim, as did her healing hands, her ability to get information for the Sept, and her quick wits under the stress of combat. With time, she challenged Eligio Saceteca for Fostern, and passed, becoming a full dreamweaver. She caught the attention of Chimera, who called her and a number of others to form a pack: Visions. With Oaken's disappearance to attend the duties of fatherhood, Justice appointed Elizabeth to the position of Talesinger for the Sept.

Oaken's death cut a very deep blow to the already mourning Galliard. Chimera came to her in her dreams, warning her of a threat on the dream plane. She went shadow-walking to scout the danger that she alone could see. She found a Black Spiral Dancer caern, and was fleeing with the information when she was met in the Dream Realm by a Dancer Galliard. They fought in legendary terms, fire and ice, and White Veils was defeated. As she lay dying far from her body, she managed to give small warning to the Caern of the enemy, though few understood. After her spirit slipped fully from her body, at Elizabeth's last breath, Bobby came with his mentor, Midir, to gather up spirit and body from the two realms, and reunite them where both can live close, on the far side of the veil in Arcadia. The lovers were wed, for with her death, the Garou had claimed their share of Elizabeth's battered spirit, and she went on to fight battles against the despair the Garou wallowed in.
